We had some fabulous food and honored our 2017 Orchidist of the Decade: Craig Nakahara, as well as the 2017 Orchidist of the Year: Deborah Collins.
The installation of newly elected officers and trustees is the main event for this meeting. We were sworn in by Roy Andrade from the Ewa Orchid Society. As your Board, we are hopeful that we can bring to the membership the level of education you all desire, as well as more hands-on and special events (like an Orchid Safari or two) over the next year. Make sure if you are a new member that you take advantage of the Workshops at Dot’s house for some truly one on one hands on experience. You really learn a lot by doing it yourself! |
