"Tips on Growing Dendrobium spatulata"
Guest Speaker: Roy Andrade
This month’s speaker comes from the other side of the island, but brings a lot of knowledge on growing Dendrobiums.  Roy is employed at the Kalaeloa Cogeneration power plant for the past 20 years and is currently the maintenance superintendent, responsible for all mechanical repairs and contractors. He's been growing orchids for about 17 years, getting heavy into growing the past 10 years. Roy is a student judge with the American Orchid Society and the Honolulu Orchid Society, and is a member of four local orchid societies. He's been the  president of the Ewa orchid society for the past three years. Roy enjoys helping others with the culture of orchids and helps at some of the nurseries from time to time. You don’t want to miss this opportunity!!!
